In The Happy Soul Industry by Steffan Postaer God hires an ad agency to promote goodness. As they compete for bids, the ad men and women wonder how best to market goodness. Can advertising be a force for good? Would a campaign promoting goodness even be possible? And what would it look like? Happy Soul Industry explores these questions as it follows a diverse group of angelic and human characters through their temptations and triumphs.
One connection I see between this book and [Good Books in Bad Times] is that they both approach spirituality from unconventional and broad perspectives.

This book sounds incredibly interesting and very reminiscent of the film “A Life Less Ordinary.” Only, in the film, God hires angels to ensure two people fall in love, proving that love can conquer all, rather than market the idea of goodness. Regardless, I’m definitely interested in checking this out. I like how it plays on the modern day idea that anything could be made popular depending on its marketing. I think, in bad times, we need to be reminded of goodness every now and then.
just do the opposite of what mass media did to market terrorism, iraq having wmd, george bush being a good president, a whole country having hope in one man, and an economic depression.
O, I got a little carried away in my previous post, but I do like the book, it sounds interesting..but does it pay to market good books, compared to contoversial spin books, rumor mills, and some times blatant lies….
