We’ve found more kindred spirits publishing lists of books intended to help us through these trying times. The first one is here in our own backyard! On Sunday the San Francisco Chronicle featured “Good novels for hard times.”
In February the Poughkeepsie Journal published an article called “Libraries offer fun, cheap boost during tough times.” At the end of the article they provide a list of “good books for tough times” under three topics: saving money, going green, and staying healthy/inspiration.
The article also sites a National Public Radio report that cookbooks are some of the hottest books right now since people aren’t going out to eat as much. So if you have any cookbook pitches for “good cookbooks in tough times,” send ‘em our way. Maybe we’ll even start posting some recession recipes.
